In my point of view, I believe that sexual education should be taught in school. I think this because some kids that are in school do not know the dangers of being sexually active, they don’t know the different types of way to stay protected, and they also will know their body parts and their opposite genders.

Some parents never inform their kids about things that have to relate to sex. Either they don’t want to talk to their children about it, or they just want them to find out on their own. For children in school that don’t know about the dangers of being sexually active need to be informed. That’s why it is important that they find out about it at an early age. Some kids that are in sex education have never even heard of all the sexual transmitted diseases that are out there today. They do not know the risks of being sexually active with many people. They need to all be taught what the consequences are, and that even some of the STD’s can’t be cured. If the kids already have signs of some type of disease then they know that they need to go to a doctor and have that checked out.
Another important thing that everyone needs to learn are the different ways to stay protected so that you do not end up getting pregnant, or getting a girl pregnant. Instead of having unprotected intercourse they need to either use a condom, or be on some sort of birth control. There are many ways to be able to prevent pregnancy but they also need to know that you are never fully guaranteed that pregnancy won’t occur. They need to be informed that sometimes condoms break, and pregnancy is still a major thought that should still be in the back of your mind.
Also boys and girls need to know about their own bodies. They need to know how to do self examinations, and what kind of cancers or other personal problems they can be prone to. Guys and girls should be taught properly about their bodies, and know the correct way to call different parts of their body. Also it’s a great way to explain to the boys about girl’s menstrual cycle. Without these classes, some kids would be completely clueless about what goes on in their bodies and what the other gender is capable of.
Overall, my point of view is that sexual education should be taught in school. It’s a subject that should not be looked over and should be taught before you go to high school when those things come into play. This is my point of view because boys and girls need to know about their bodies, know about STD’s, and know the different types of methods to prevent pregnancy. Sexual education should be taught regardless.
