The Divided Line
There are two powers which are the sun and the Good. They are both from different worlds and have orders that are the visible and intelligible. A line divides the two worlds unequally where one side will represent the visible and the other side represents the intelligible side. There are lines that make up sections in both worlds. In one part the visible world there are shadows and then there are reflections. In the next section there are stuff like plant, animals, humans and the human creations.
The sections are aligned to match the reality from the truth and for the likeness to be look like a sphere. In the visible world there is The Sun while in the intelligence world there in The Good. There are also two sections made up in the intelligence world. There is mathematical thinking and forms. In the mathematical thinking is uses images as substitutions to the real world. In forms the mind is kind of scattered brained.
There is one original copy of everything and it is made in to other copies that are similar but not exact to the original. It can be kind of like a model of a house where you have a baby house of Legos then you make it in to the real thing with brinks and stones. In the intelligence world the reasoning is the assumptions. In the conclusion only have forms that start with forms, go from forms to forms and have an ending of forms. Intelligence is distinguished by dialectic as having a high certainty and truth than the original.
The student started with assumptions and decided to work their way to the first principal. They don’t really gain any knowledge from the objects. When the objects are connected to the first principal it shows it has higher intelligence. There are four states of mind intelligence, thinking, belief, and imagining. They can be rearranged in the order in which would make sense. It is for students with no intelligence and for students who like geometry.
