Starvation - just around the corner.
Our neighbors suffer
And we just go on with our lives.
It’s not just poor nations -
It’s at home,
It’s right next door.
And people can’t seem to see it.
The children cry themselves to sleep -
Hungry, cold, afraid.
Their parents know how the children hurt,
They hurt, too.
We all hurt and nothing can be done,
There are just too many starving
To make a dent in the everlasting sea of poverty.
Once they are in this black sea, they cannot get out -
Unless they are rescued.
Let’s rescue them.
