I am sitting in class. Why am I here? Some students attend school to converse with their friends; others come for food, to have fun, or to just learn. I am one of those students who come to school to learn. At my school, I know that one student who enjoys being disrespectful towards the teacher.

Disrespectful students should consider the ‘Golden Rule.” This is where you should treat others the way you want to be treated. Would you enjoy being humiliated in front of the whole class, by your teacher? Teachers normally don’t intend to disrespect students.

Not only are disrespectful students disobeying the “Golden Rule,” the students are affecting other students’ learning environment. Disrespectful students take the teacher off topic, distracting the rest of the class. After all, teachers are responsible for the learning of students. Teachers put their time into their jobs; preparing assignments, tests, quizzes, and practice exercises.

Disrespectful students disobey the “Golden Rule,” and disrupt the class. If you are a disrespectful student, then maybe you should consider students like me. I am the student who is sitting in class; ready to learn but am interrupted by students like you.
