Ohio weather
You have probably clicked on this blog to find out about facts, information and preparation for moving to Ohio as an Ohioan I will be preparing you for winter, fall, spring and summer.
What to expect in summer in Ohio you should expect the summer average high is 90 degrees at the peak of july and the average temperature is 82 through late may and through early september an average low is 68 in the summer. What to expect in fall you should expect an average high of 58 degrees to an avg low of 40 degrees though late september through early november. In winter you need to expect an avg high of 49 and an average low of 32 but the wind chill can strike as low as 0 from after thanksgiving through late february. In spring the average is a high of 59 and low of 37 though march to early may, data from coolwether.net.
The best time to visit Ohio is in the fall of September to October when the temperatures are very pleasant. September through October get the least amount of rainfall and an average temp is 60 degrees. Also in the fall the sunsets are the most colorful and the skies are pink, yellow, purple, red and orange. The most non enjoyable months are from december to february at night temps drop below 0 and a cold north wind will bite your nose and ears also not much to do in the winter. Like no swimming or camping, the only thing you can do is have a snowball fight or play in the snow.
I have been wondering why people leave Ohio and go live in florida. I have intervened with my aunt and my grandma and moved to Florida which was a perfect opportunity for me to interview my family. My aunt said “ when I moved to Florida in 1997 ohio summers were my favorite time of year and I never liked to wear heavy coats in the cold winters so when I turned 21 I went to Florida and lived and it was everything she hoped for”. After my grandma retired she moved to florida she said “ she could not let my aunt keep talking about how nice it was and how it was never cold and the sun was out”.she said this while talking about ohio’s weather. “In Ohio the summer through fall are perfect weather and winter’s are too cold “. so this makes me think that people are moving away from Ohio because of the weather.
So my main reason for writing this was because to give people a heads up on what to get ready for the weather in ohio whether they are moving to ohio to live or kids coming to ohio to go to college. just know ohio's weather can change in minutes.
