I look out at the ocean, its blue reflective waves
And step away from the group, to find a place different than reality

Above the waves that come and go to each shore, loom cliffs of clay
And below is a cushion of tan grain
Smooth rocks scatter, Unique in color

Breath in the distinct salty air that’s nature is like springs fragrance
Changing everyday but always carrying a reminiscence of yesterday

Hear the waves crash
Crash upon this shore, Bringing new treasures
To roll against places of hard rocky floor

Sounds like a much different song
From the one played on a hectic city radio station
The acoustic sounds of nature play to this moment of surreal wonder

Calls of gulls and the wind through the bulrush
Mingle together in sweet harmonic chatter

The ocean kisses the bottom my ankles
“Can you stay?” sings the waves that carry the wind
Which gently plays its never-ending games

Never does a blue reflective wave stay at bay

Like eyes they never look at one place the same
