My Secret
I sit quietly as my hands shiver so slightly
Trying to grasp that which no one will ever know
Something quiet, something deep
Outside of my control
Yet I’m the only one who knows
I walk aimlessly down the crowded halls
With something no one can take from me
A secret, a thing that’s only mine
Clutched tightly in my palms
Yet I’m the only one who knows
I smile as I sit in my chair
Satisfied that my secret exudes a new mystery
Fiery spirit, fiery hope I now possess
A surrounding violet aura
One that everyone can sense
Yet I’m the only one who sees
The only one who knows.
