Roses
roses
I put the roses in a glass bottle
(a pink, a dark red, and a red)
and i think you were (are) the red one
but the flowers dried out and they

 wilted and
like ashes (i must chase that horrible thought away)
i put them in a box (no, stop it, here i draw the line)
 right underneath your picture.
 the box

  it contains the petals (ashes)

 tears

 They don't ever really refresh
 and i was surprised at
 how much they could sting
