Proper Grammar
My teacher said not to say “ain’t”
My teacher said to say “am not”
My mother said not to say “me and you”
My mother said to say “you and I”
My father said not to say “whatever”
My father said to say “I’d rather not talk”
My brother said not to say “was’ up”
My brother said to say “how’s it going”
My sister said not to say “lol”
My sister said to laugh instead
But it ain’t improper grammar for me and you.
I can just say whatever and get it over with.
Was’ up is my own language of my own kind.
And, lol, I have fun with it.
How is it improper when someone had to invent it?
