They find us odd,

A lot like outcasts.

Except we aren’t,

We never have been.

We may see odd,

But we are just interesting.

They don’t understand us,

Thinking we are weird.

Nevering seeing us,

Pass them in the halls.

Take for granted the fact,

That Alvord is small,

And everyone knows each other.

But they seem to have missed us,

In that small town fact.

We are odd,

That is true.

Weird, creative, interesting,

But most importantly,

Unique.

They always miss judge us,

Thinking we are cared for,

But we are outcasts.

Maybe not in the home,

Or in the group that people call ‘Outcasts’.

We are needed,

They will need us to help them later.

On homework, jobs, relationships,

Or just in general.

But right now,

They act as though we are some of ‘these pawns’,

Not some of ‘those pawns’.

But quite frankly we are some of ‘these pawns’,

And you are some of ‘those pawns’.

Don’t judge us,

On what we do.

We could’ve had a hard,

Or tough life.

We always feel at home,

With our own kind of people.

You cannot put us down.

Shrink us lower than you.

We will always be up higher than you,

As long as we stick together.

We are outcasts,

We are oddballs,

We are weirdos,

But at least we will always

Be home when we are together.
