Today is not tomorrow
Nor is it yesterday or the day before
It will never be next week, next year, or in the next millennium
No matter how hard we try to say that today is actually yesterday’s tomorrow
We get all confused again
And say that today is really today
But today’s tomorrow will be the next today
And the next today’s tomorrow
Is two days from now
And we start over again
Maybe that’s why
On the page-by-page calendars
That they say “Today Is..”
And not yesterday was, or tomorrow will be
So we don’t get confused.
Aren’t you confused yet?
