These Two Girls
The flower pedals soar through the air.
The same wind waves in her hair.
This girl, she's life
Wearing nothing but white.
Her soul shows through her smile,
Her light can be seen for a mile.
She is never-ending,
She will live on forever.
The ash dust floats through the skies.
The same fire torches her insides.
This girl, she's morbid
Wearing nothing, just black, ready to attack.
Her soul is gone,
She can't be seen at all.
She is slowly dying,
She is limited on time...
The differences of these two girls
Are a shadow of their adolescent truth,
An umbrage of what they were in their youth…
Opposites, heartache, and lack of meaning in this world,
May be the most destructive things in it.
