Every Night
Darkness covers me like a blanket
as I fall asleep.
It consumes and entrances me,
as I restlessly struggle to not think.
Knowing that you aren't here to hold me.
That my sun is long gone,
far away in another land.
I twist and turn fighting the beasts.
So, as I struggle with the darkness
Even tho you are nowhere near,
and as crazy as it might seem.
I can't help but ask,
are you thinking about me?
