Somewhere else

I wake up so early
I could be somewhere else
I take my dogs out into the cold, wet air
I could be somewhere else
I walk onto the rumbling, uncomfortably-hot bus

I walk into the mass of annoying teens
I could be somewhere else
I talk to ones I cannot relate to
I could be somewhere else
I do nothing in all-day classes
I could be somewhere else
I take the bus full of ear-splitting noise spewed from the mouths of excited teens
On my journey to my home
Where I sleep
For the next day
And I think
I could be somewhere else
