Whattaya gonna do, ya know?

She was born into the world on the 17th of May,
Her mind a white space, which was filled without delay.
And as she grew the void was filled. One could even say
That the blankness in her head was doomed to never stay.

Dolls and dreams and magazines rooted in the chasm
It became a pleasant clutter like all else who had them.

The white spaces in the mind
Recede with passing time
People think that they don’t need them
But they can’t recall the freedom
That only infants own
And had she ever known
That blank spaces, once stained
Are forever to remain.

I became rather sad while gazing at a hole in my wall, which was left by a nail.
