A yellow, plastic watering can
Featured detailed indents
For the fingers to feel
Created a bee

I picked it up ever so carefully
Not wanting the dirt that clung onto the bottom
To be attracted to the
Cloth that surrounds me

But the can got heavy
My biceps relaxed
And even against my resistance
The green skirt was marked with brown

I walked with the contraption
Bigger then my head
We waltzed right over to the daffodils
An awkward dance of two clowns

With my hand propped upon its neck
And emitting music from my own
I fed the ever so delicate flower
While it sipped

Drop by drop
Preventing wilting
Because she wanted to dance, not crumble
The dirt she saw, looked her in this crypt

My sister of nature
That found me last year
Crippled away
Forgotten under the shade
