A yo-yo
Spinning around
In an endless,
Relentless cycle.
First,
The plunge down
As you forsake me
And occupy yourself
With someone else.
Then,
Comes the stop
As I discontinue my descent
From you.
Afterwards,
I build my persistence
And I bounce back up
Taking another attempt
To win your
Promising, faithful love.
Finally,
As my distance from you
Becomes miniscule
You throw me back
Into the plunge.
My life
Spinning around
In an endless,
Relentless cycle.
