Love is like a battle
It keeps coming back
Even if you cut at it
Stab, slash, or hack
It will never leave
And in some ways
It is like a disease
The only cure
Rests above reach

I was equipped with Sword
Shield and Axe
But nothing prepared me
For the girl from Halifax
She stole my heart
She kept it
And ripped it apart
She gave it back
In pieces and tatters
Not that it matters

I hate her now
But pretend to be her friend
I know that this is
THE END

Simple, with a lot of meaning. Good job. I sense a lot of your poems deal with love and I see that you write from the heart. That's good. But be mindful that a good poem, creates an image, makes the reader laugh or think, etc. I like this one though.
