Everyone says you're in a better place
So am I selfish because I wanted you to stay?

From the moment we are born we head down a one-way street
There's something about death so final, so complete
In your absence my heart somehow continues to beat
From your spot above I pray you watch over me

The days go by and in my mind you begin to lose shape
Pictures can't remind me of your beautiful face
Videos can give me your voice but it's not the same
Memories that are now vivid will fade
My heart is the only thing time can't taint

My loves, my Angels, my tears will never bring you back
But I did have a chance to know you and for that I am glad

In your eyes hope I can shine
And since I didn't say it the last moments you were alive,
I love you and I'll never say goodbye
Because in my heart you'll never die

I agree with EdytD, but other than that it was beautiful, and I know it's something we've all felt before.

Great, and very moving. the only thing i would do is change some of the narrator's feelings to concrete imagery - in other words, show the feelings, don't tell them.
