The rose
One day when I walked through a meadow
I spotted a beautiful rose
Since it smelt so sweet and good
I couldn’t get it away from my nose
I loved the sweetness that it had
It made me feel warm
Though the day looked gloomy and very sad
Because it was about to storm
I grabbed the flower by its stem
Then it began to pour
I felt pain through my hand
It started feeling sore
Blood trickled with the rain
My hand then felt so very numb
Suddenly a strike of pain
Made me whimper home to my mum
I walked in the door soaking wet
Still feeling pain
To the living room where I met
My mother sitting in the chair with a stain
I told her all about the rose
And the blood in my hand
I explained why I was wet
Then I said please understand.

This is really sweet! I like how you used a rose in a different sense other than using it as a figure of love. I use roses in some of my stories that I write. I used a rose for "My Guardian Angel" to make a girl realize that when she squeezed the stem and cut her hand that she was shedding her dead parents' blood.
