Waiting Room
The hours pass by very slowly
When you're in a waiting room.
Knowing that the one you love
May face their utter doom.
When you're in a waiting room,
You know you must be ready.
For any news that will come
And a life that won't be steady.
When you're in a waiting room,
You think of all the times,
The good and the bad.
When you laughed,
When you cried
And all the times you were sad.
You think that they are poinitless,
That now they have no meaning.
When you're in a waiting room,
You know what you must do.
You wait for the new
And cry the blues
When you're in a waiting room.

I loved the repetition - it added emphasis and a ring to the poem.
