Look There
Look there, below the humblest marker
See how wounded the ground’s come to be
Such horrid scars, all for a lifeless shell
A face the stars will never see
Look there, watch the pitiful tears
Falling from so many dreary eyes
Shrouded in black like troubled shadows
When mere flesh grows old and dies
Look there, at what’s been buried
Beneath the poorest patch of soil
Even poorer the value of what remains
Without a soul, the body spoils
