"Dancing is the soul having happy convulsions." - Akila

The mourning dove
weeps
on the boughs of the oak,

its heavy call
plummeting,
heaving itself

against the walls
of its body,
against the walls

of the universe;
either praising or
surrendering to

what is absolute
and unknown.

“How I cry
for a world
with boundaries.”
