Do You Hear Me?
Do you hear me?
Are my screams not loud enough?
Or have you turned a deaf ear on me?
My irrational thoughts?
My insane mind?
Do you see me?
Does my smile fool you?
Or do you truly believe I am happy?
Jovial?
Untroubled?
Do you not feel my inner chaos?
Are my insecurities not apparent to you?
Or do you only look as far as my clothes?
My hair?
My makeup?
Why do you cry at my funeral?
Do you miss me?
Or do you not understand why I left?
Why I no longer walk with you?
Why I am gone?
Do you not remember me?
Does my face not linger in your memory?
Or did you cherish our time together?
...no. You didn’t.
And it’s too late to now.
