"à cœur vaillant rien d’impossible [nothing is impossible to a willing heart]" -French Proverb

Why do I have an umbrella?
In case it rains, of course;
Around here—around you
The weather can turn on a dime
The sky is a glowing sapphire now
But what if it grayed like aging hair
And the floodgates opened
Would you leave me
Without a raincoat?

Oh look,
There’s a front coming in…
You’re leaving?
Okay…bye, I’ll keep going
I’m glad I brought an umbrella.

"But what if it grayed like aging hair?" I liked that part. Good poem! :)
