Across the Street
The girl across the street
About five feet tall and lonesome as can be
But Mr. Cool you don’t know ‘cause you can’t see
But she sees and she does believe

At any other time on any other day
 You wouldn’t have noticed her
Not even if she said “Hey”
 But today, you were different
 You smiled and you waved
 You’re outside your bubble,
 Sometimes it’s good to change.

She hears you but can’t believe her eyes
Is this reality finally happening for real this time?
She glows and returns your wave
 You’re both at the crosswalk
 And it’s finally turned green.

She’s the girl across the street and you don’t even know
She’s in your sights and she’s on her way home
She’s sees you but do you see her?
