The clouds last cast upon the dew drenched night
As flowers sprung up from the once thawed ground.
For winter’s time had quit with little fight
As birds alarmed the earth that spring was bound.
Swift multihued kites scatter through the sky
As the sun beams down streams of golden rays.
Moms rest on the porch with haphazard sighs
As their kids run about the sun-kissed day.
The moon creeps slowly from its needed sleep.
And twilight enters homes throughout the earth.
Stars twinkle as trees get the heat they reap.
Young seedlings sprout and give the world new girth.
Even’t’ly spring’s myst’ry will be re-told;

At which again the cold will be controlled.
