You Simply Say It Becasue You Like The Way It Sounds
I’m tired of living up to your expectations;
which stand for no less than perfection.
To be more than human,
because no human is perfect.
I’m tired of dealing with your happiness.
“Smile more,” you say. I’m sorry I don’t project false reactions.
But I’ll willingly give up my days of sorrow;
for you to blame and bear with.
I’m tired of only being noticed after wrong has won;
only after it has succeeded to make me weak and vulnerable.
Just to make me breakdown in your demands and criticism.
You: still overlooking any sign of approval.
You make me sick…
after all I do is wrong.
“What’s happening?” You Ask,
The question bathed in false concern.
When the truth is too much
and I just can’t take it anymore,
all I can say, all I could ever do
would never live up to your expectations.
Face it: I’m hopeless for you.
