You leave seventeen years
in New York- It's your home
Too much laughter and tears
to express in this poem.
You will leave with a smile
planted firm on your face
May you go many miles
With confidence and grace
Such good times we've spent
And much more to find
You'll stay in my heart
and you'll stay on my mind.
I'll think of you every then and now
As a friend who'se happier somewhere, somehow
