Earth
Vines are growing around my arms as I sleep
Every time a tree is cut down,I hear her weep
Vines now cover my stomach, strapping me to soil
How could anyone have the heart to foil
The leaves that are emeralds and the wood that is life
Why is it we can cause such destruction with only a knife
When I go to grab a handful of dirt
I can see why we should put her first
Giving air, enforcing light she will always be with us day and night
The leaves wustle and whisper a melody to me
That the heart is hurt...It says
"This is what we've done to mother Earth"
