Pain
Pain
It
Is what you feel when someone does you wrong.
You
Cling to Hope, but realize it was never there all along
Anger
Seethes in your mind as you bleed numb.
Happily
You wait for the storm to come.
It
Is the searing sensation of the knife against your wrist.
It
Is the cold metal burning a hole in your heart.
All the missing pieces of your existence bring about a black comfort
Of darkness and shame, misery and hope.
As you wait for the end.
Waiting for it to be done.
Unfortunately,
The laughter of friends prolongs the nagging.
Making it a little more unbearable.
Tears glisten in eyes, yet they dare not fall.
The threat of more is imminent.
Beneath the cool façade lies brokenness.
It
Is the torturer of Existence,
The Keeper of Anger,
The Smile of Death,
Murderer of Hope,
Lover of Shame,
Master of Misery.
It
Makes you a slave.
It
Is your Master.
It
Hurts.
