The Big Ship That Couldn't
Said to be “the ship that could not sink,”
You disappointed many,
Over a thousand casualties, bodies blending into the sea
Second chances that cannot be offered to lost souls
Lost in the deepest, darkest waters
Of the cruel, malicious sea
Never to be seen again
Sailing to a new land, hope was restored
Until fate hit and panic erupted
Screaming and frantic
Thousands without a chance
Who is to blame? No one can be sure
Barley filled lifeboats leaving many behind
Many too young to die with hopes, dreams shattered
The unsinkable ship,
Sucked up by the unforgiving ocean
