Midnight Shining
Every night
Every cool, calm night
When the snow stops falling
And when the moon comes up
The lights come on
Lights that shine through windows
Of all the houses
Lights that glisten on the trees outside
Lights that brighten the ski trails
For a midnight run
All over they shine
While the frost forms on the trees
And rooftops
Trying to warm the town
Though it’s cold from winter
