A teardrop is my sadness
My anger it is flames
A candle is defiance
A dagger is my pain

The teardrop symbols sadness
Caused by different pain
Of soul and spirit, will and heart
Or body all the same

Anger it is heat
Hatred in the flames
Anger it devours all
To try and stop it would sadly be in vain

A dagger’s made of sorrow
The deepest cut and pain
It scars the heart and the soul
And continues if not tamed

Defiance is a candle
A small speck of light
Yet important all the same
As it defies the shadows of the night

Sorry, I know I just commented on two of your other poems, but I just read what you said about my comfimation poem. I'm Lutheran too! (WELS, to be more specific, but I'm thinking of transfering to the American Evangelical synod when I'm older. :)
