Mourn
Greetings old friend, why did you come to see me again?
You who comes to me unapologetically.
You who hits like a pound of bricks.
You who lurks and burst whenever it hurts.
You who only comes around whenever my family is down.
Do you like when death takes people away, just so you can have an escape?
You need to happen for the process to fade. without you the pain will stay, when I want it to be. locked and put away.
But you make my heart stay in place.
It’s been weeks yet your still here
what happened to grief did it skipp me?
You said there would be five steps:
denial
anger
bargaining
depression
acceptance
Then why am I still this way?
You told me one day I will be with the people I lost, but to focus on the people who stayed.
I will keep that in mind living day by day.
