Once long ago,

Luna met Mars

And piece by piece

She collected his stars.

She observed the galaxies

Reflected deep within

And admired his cosmos,

And hung them with pins

But as Mars stepped backward

To give Luna his commends

He spotted something beautiful,

Dear Pluto,

Suspended;

So gracious,

And so small,

He wondered,

Dear Pluto,

Who loves you, if at all?

Luna was broken,

Weeping asteroids from her core

Mass destruction

That Humanity would ignore

Luna sobbed, and she cried

Chipping her stone,

Becoming hollow inside

But without a soul,

She grew unable

To draw her creatures close,

And transforming

To be nothing

but a small, frail ghost

While Mars kempt to Pluto

And Luna kempt to the coast

The author's comments:

This is a love story between Mars and the Moon, Luna. It tells about the downfall of the moon, and how it lost gravity.
