Jealousy
This ship was hope for the poor and wealth for the rich.
Its name was Titanic and set a course for the west.
Everyone was in search for the American Dream.
Titanic was a portal to independence, wealth and happiness.
This mammoth surpassed every ship in size and luxury.
During the day men and women of all sizes examined the vast ocean.
At night they partied until early morning.
A ship this grand would never last long.
You could say the ocean was jealous.
So during the late night when everyone was asleep,
She took a great sword and slithered past the weary eyes of watchmen.
Like an assassin, the jealous ocean took the ship the ship by its side
And cut a big hole right down the hull.
This ship would not die quickly,
Frozen water rushed in by the hours.
The ship was drowning by the head.
The ship was sent straight up like a beacon of warning.
If another brilliant ship was to ever be built,
It will suffer the same fate.
The ocean was jealous indeed.
