Drew, that 'hero'
There are men who act like heroes
Trying to save their bona fide Juliets like absolute Zorros
One such blockhead was Drew
His collegemate Cassia he wanted to bill and coo
One day, with friends they were in a restaurant
Drew’s rival Nick told him that for Cassia he would taunt
Drew treated the matter with scorn
Until Cassia shouted, “Stop, Nick. My heart is so torn.”
At that moment, Drew thought in a different way,
“What if I save Curvy Cassie’s day?”
Like a thunderbolt, he did move
Like a horse with a slippery groove
His quenched hand punched Nick’s wench-man
Breaking fragile tables made of glass, Dear Gwen
The restaurant was all helter-skelter
From the plates flying without wings, we had to find shelter
Click! Clack! Punch! Crunch! Punch! Punch!
People could no longer, munch, munch, munch
Was there no restaurant other, in town?
For his especial, why did he break my restaurant down?
I will have to pay back to the people
When I think of the repairs, I might turn purple
To my fresh notes, I have to kiss goodbye
To work more shifts, I cannot just try
Cassia might be thinking that Drew is her Romeo
But my wife Gwen, she’d high-pitch to me like a broken stereo
Why did Romeo wreck my life for a fat chick?
If she were in my chef hat, he’d be her Capulet, I think
But, even if they get together or go apart
Drew’s fake heroism broke my restaurant and my heart .

And the flying plates made me ROTFL! 🤣🤣🤣
Many people these days think that if they fight for damsels in distress, they become heroes. But, fighting is not true heroism. If you ever want to be a hero, trust yourself and support the person instead of fighting for that person's attention. Many people face losses due to those people who call themselves 'heroes' and fight. This poem is narrated by a person who faced such a loss. That makes this poem sound like a comedy. But, We must be aware of those losses and we must never fall for the traps of those type of heroes. But, that doesn't mean there are no people with real heroism. We must appreciate the true superheroes of our life.
With that subject, I dedicate this poem to Dad and Mom who are the first of Superheroes and Superheroines in my life. I also dedicate this poem to my Grandparents who passed away, namely Rahmath Appa, Reyal Appa, Shariff Appa and Samma Wapamma. May the Almighty bless them. They were and were mentioned as the true superheros of our family. They would be really happy to see my piece in the Teen Ink Website. I also dedicate this poem to all the readers of Teen Ink.
