Letter from Trust
To the person who needs this,
Lost, I’ve been lost in your life so many times.
For years now,
our relationship has dwindled,
cracked, and reunited,
as friends leave you,
break you down,
and hurt you.
I’m here though,
still bright and lively
between you and your best friend.
I know you push me away,
unsure if you should open up to new people
and welcome me in,
but as much as you hurt,
you still let me in.
I’m here to help guide you
to the good;
the ones who will be in your life for a long time,
who will be a shoulder to cry on,
who you will celebrate your big moments with.
Open back up to me,
and your relationships will grow.
I know my presence has hurt you,
but I’m only trying to help.
Your long lost friend,
Trust.
