Dear Wind
Dear Wind, you have no mercy.
Don’t expect me to curtsey.
You act like you don’t know me,
when I beg on bended knee.

You push me and make me ache.
I will bend but I don’t break.
Anger fires, my soul ignites.
Against your will, I climb to unknown heights.

You laugh; I cut you back.
You nod your head and give me slack.
Just as storms strengthen trees.
We are built by the breeze.

Secretly you taught a lesson.
Please forgive my aggression.
For peace I’ll offer you a dove.
And say thanks for the tough love.
