Ludwig lavishly lured Savanna into love.
When the morning broke into several misshapen figures,
She awoke by his side neatly furled in an infinite white blanket.
For breakfast he stuffed her full of affection. They sat and
watched the sun rise and the dripping grass dry.
For lunch, he force-fed her compliments up to her chin.
If it wasn’t for her jaw, they would have all spilled out.
That afternoon they rewrote the pages of their own book.
Pencil marks tattooed the veins of their fused hands.
For dinner, Ludwig prepared personality until it was tender
and melted on her tongue - it was the most delicious
thing she had ever put to her lips.
This was to be a daily routine, like teeth brushing or kite flying,
until the seasons shifted and winter set in.
The white carpet brought nothing but misery and defeat.
And now she sits - salivating, starving.

There is so much beautiful imagery here, I love it :)

This was so intriguing! I want more! I loved the line "pencil marks tattooed the veins of their fused hands." Something about is so fantastical, yet simple and down-to-earth. Please do continue. :)
