Cats Cradle
Soaring into the sky
The red balloon holds my gaze
 Its power as mystical
 As those wonderful unicorns
 That used to play
 in the Garden
 of my imagination

 It brushes against the leaves
 Of a tree
 Swaying in the wind
 The memories of the tango
 Filling its roots
With the magical urge to move

 The ribbon tangles
 With the branches
Complicating the wild thoughts in my mind
 Cats cradle
 Is only the beginning

 The balloon strains
Wriggling in the air for freedom
 Petitioning its keeper
 With its own declaration
 Signed by the helium inside
 And it stands united.
