&quot; Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, &#039;Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented?&#039; Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world; there is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that others won&#039;t feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as children do. We were all born to make manifest the glory of God that&#039;s within us - it&#039;s not just in some of us, it&#039;s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.&quot;<br /> -Nelson Mandela

I followed a robin
And then we were there
Walking the path
That our four feet shared.

I followed the robin-
Back then we were young.
We skipped as we stepped
We had so much fun.

I followed the robin
And we grew apart.
I could still see her,
But I knew not her heart.

I followed the robin
As her life went on.
I wished not to lose her
By condemning her song.

I followed the robin
And then we were older.
She'd left the nest
And our love ran colder.

I followed the robin
Then she flew away
She wanted her freedom-
Couldn't wait one more day.

I stopped for a second,
A decision to make.
I wanted to follow
For my comfort zone's sake.

I knew that was wrong, though,
And that carried me through
As I took the first step,
My confidence grew.

I followed the robin
When I was quite young.
Then in my youth
We had so much fun.

Then as my age
Increased in its years,
She flew away,
But I didn't veer.

I stayed on my path
To church, here to stay
Cause no one but God
Determines my way.

That robin can follow
What idols she can,
But I'm sticking to
My Father's plan.
