Yearbook Memories MAG
One page of glossy white paper
A single sheet onto which
I am supposed to magically fit
Four years of heartache and laughter
The gossip, the parties
The love, the friendships
The gravel roading
With the bears in our hands.
To cram the past four years of our lives
Onto one shiny page
I cannot seem to write enough.
From the senior party that got busted
To the tarp that said it all
From the second year powderpuff win
To the senior car that never got to the yard
And the watertower that said it all.
Somehow, I choose these last words
I can leave with
Scribbling my name across
The line
Looking at my own work,
I watch my name smear.
