A Mother's Day Poem
They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree
The flower doesn’t fall far from the cherry blossom
 Growing older day by day
 Developing, learning, maturing
The older I get the more I realize

 I am my mother’s daughter

 You see yourself in me
Reminisce back to your teenage years
 All though times have changed
We go about life the same way

 Maturing and growing up
 Oh so fast
Making mistakes but learning from them

 We enjoy our lives
 Perfection is balance
 In which we have achieved
 Yet some still have not
I live my life to the fullest
 Working hard but having fun
 As do you

 Life isn’t about the destination
It’s about the journey along the way

We are the same person dear mother
No wonder why we’re so close
So sorry that I’ve disappointed you
 Hoping to move forward

Thanks for bringing me into this world
 Caring for me
 Sometimes too much
The love a mother has for her daughter
 Unexplainable
 Can’t be seen, only felt

As I grow, learn and mature I realize

 I am my mother’s daughter
