Peace & War
The peace after war makes the travelers
from miles away stand still
The dead, cold heart laid out in the middle,
where it cannot survive
The blue of the water is cooling, after being rushed through
The men traveling through on a ship, stop to take it all in
They miss their wives, children, backyard
The reflections of the clouds appear to tell the truth
The rocks at the bottom of the water tell lies
So still, the gullible fall for it, end up wet and tired of their games
Only God knows what happened, but so do some of the men
They've been here before, the silence is deafening
