Dreams shattering
in two seconds flat
just by looking
into your eyes.

Hopes disapearing
before the hoping was done
gone, never to return
just because of those words.

Lives falling apart
never getting the chance
to live
or to fall in love.

Passions dying;
ones that would change the world
because they just
followed the crowd.

Fears brewing
never making a choice
for themselves-
but for others.

Generation after generation
failing this country
because one person
makes a whole crowd forget.

That crowd escaping
the path of the people before;
standing up
using their voice.

Followers are weak
but false leaders are just as weak
don't become one of them-
like I have.
