I wake before the final strobes of the rising sun
I walk about outside my bed
My feet pitter-patter upon the sodden Earth

The green ropes kiss my feet
Their tears wash my feet, and cool them
My feet pitter-patter upon the sodden Earth

I wander towards the cliff, at the edge of the meadow
I lean tenderly on the worn, wooden fence
My feet pitter-patter upon the sodden Earth

I look out over the lake as the sun wakes the world
I am brushed by soft sprays of water
My feet pitter-patter upon the sodden Earth

I turn and look toward my hidden bed
The souls around me began to stir
My feet pitter-patter upon the sodden Earth

I turn away from the refreshing water
My back is licked by the soft touch of the breeze
My feet pitter-patter upon the sodden Earth

I walk towards my shadowed bed
I quietly sit along the side
My feet pitter-patter upon the sodden Earth

I grow restless, waiting for these weary souls to wake
I sift and stand upon the ropes once more
My feet pitter-patter upon the sodden Earth

I am pulled towards the beautiful waters
I stand, looking over the edge
My feet pitter-patter upon the sodden Earth

I peer down at the cool waters
I sit upon the ledge
My feet pitter-patter upon the sodden Earth

The souls are finally waking
The last rays of sun have rose
My feet pitter-patter upon the sodden Earth

I walk back to my cabin
My cabin mates greet me
My feet pitter-patter upon the sodden Earth

I think about how I love this camp
It is placed perfectly along the shores of Lake Erie
My feet pitter-patter upon the sodden Earth

This is about the camp that I go to every summer, Camp Fitch. It is actually located directly on the shore of Lake Erie. Its only 48 miles to Canada.
