Not that long ago in Arizona, Jack was tending to the family cow but needed to go into town for some bread and cheese for lunch. While he was there, he met a mysterious man with no name who offered him some mysterious seeds.

“Young man, will you come over here for a second” said the mysterious man

“What do you have to sell old man” replied Jack

“Oh, you’ll love this. These seeds are magic! They will sprout a cactus so tall it will reach the top of the sky, and lead you to the golden goose, it lays eggs made of gold” explained the old man. 

Jack was intrigued about said seeds and offered him the family cow named daisy. The mysterious man agreed and Jack said he would return with the cow by sundown. Jack returns to his house and talks with his mom about trading the cow for the seeds.

“Mom, the man said there’s a goose that lays golden eggs which means we will be rich.” said Jack

“I do not care young man, we are not trading Daisy for some stupid seeds, that definitely don't reach the sky and this stupid goose doesn’t exist.” said his mom.

Jack decides that he doesn’t want to listen to his mom and meets the man at the edge of town with the cow. 

“Do you still have the seeds sir?” asked Jack

“Yes, now hand over the cow” said the old man

Jack handed him the lead he had on the cow, and the old man handed over the seeds. On his way back to his house Jack was starting to have some second thoughts, but it was too late now. 

When he got back he didn’t tell his mom about trading the cow for she would be furious.

 Instead he planted the seeds at the back of the house and watered them and waited for them to grow. A few days later when Jack was watering the seeds the cactus sprung out of the ground and grew so tall he couldn't see the top of it. Jack decides this is his chance to get his family rich by getting the golden goose. Jack starts to climb the giant cactus and gets pricked many times by the giant needle-like thorns. 

Once Jack reaches the top of the cactus he sees a land above the clouds like no other; everything is huge. He sees what looks like a chicken coop.

“The goose must be in there.” Jack said to himself

Jack then heads towards the coop, but is startled when he feels the ground shaking, and that's when he sees all the giants roaming the town. He decides to make a run for it and hop he isn't seen. When he makes it to the coops he sees the most beautiful golden egg he has ever seen. The egg was probably 2 feet tall, much much larger then a normal egg.

“I’ll be so rich when I sell this egg.” Jack said

Jack then grabbed the egg and ran for where the cactus was. On the downward climb Jack only had one hand to climb down so he was consistently getting pricked. At one point he almost loses his balance, but he makes it down in one piece. Once he is down he brings the egg into his house and his mom is overcome with emotions and tells Jack he should grab another one so that way they can be double rich. On the way up Jack gets pricked a little too hard and falls to his death leaving his mom all of the riches.
