The memory of freshman year, walking through Arrowheads the front doors with open eyes. A chilled face and a light smile. Afraid and excited all twisted inside my stomach. New classes and opportunities, the start of a four year journey in a great new place. Then suddenly, that all fell apart. Six feet away from everyone and the awkward staring. Finding friends that peaked the same interest as me was the hard part. Playing sports, all kinds like football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, and some others was a struggle with these boundaries. It went pretty slow until I met my first friend: “You’re Mathias now.” and found my favorite coffee house: “PINK MOCHA” I yelled. My mom and I went there almost every day after school.

The memory of sophomore year, flew by like a jet at 1000 miles an hour. Making friends left and right, going to parties, and concerts. Meeting new people and exploring the town I live in more and more. The wind blew by so fast, the adrenaline rush got into our head, “Dude, you got guts.” Nothing better than learning how to drive while blasting music and enjoying a strawberry smoothie.

The memory of junior year started slow, I even remember saying “This year is gonna slow, I can feel it” I woke up and the school year is 3 weeks out. The overwhelming thought of college floods my mind. The overwhelming thought of growing up and moving out on my own. The overwhelming thought of life without the ones I'm closest with. Then she said “I'm always here for you.” 

The thought of Senior year still blows my mind. “Pause!” The near end of my 4 year journey. The final stretch to reach the end, leading to that final stride to cross the finish line. Everyone is cheering you on, hoping for the best. It’ll have been over 3 years since I found the best place to have breakfast and chill with friends before school.

The way everyone is so close and loved is a feeling you can only experience at Pink Mocha here in Hartland Wisconsin.
